C R E D E N T I A L S

    • Claim No 43 of 2021 Ian Haylock v Prime Minister of Belize – successfully defended against the Claimant’s claim for judicial review  of the decision of the Prime Minister of Belize to advise the Governor General of Belize to designate the office of Comptroller of Customs and Excise as an office to which section 107 of the Belize Constitution applies.

    • Claim No 73 of 2021 Norman Anthony and Claim No 80 of 2021 David Chi v Commissioner of Police et al – successfully defended against the Claimants’ claim that they were falsely imprisoned and maliciously prosecuted.

    • Claim No 761 of 2019 Julian Johnathan Myvett v Comptroller of Customs et al – argued for the Defendants’ against the Claimant’s claim for Judicial Review of the Defendants decision not to promote him to Senior Customs Examiner during the Department’s restructuring process that began with the release of Circular No 22 of 2010. 

    • Civil Appeal No 18 of 2021 Primrose Gabourel v The Attorney General of Belize et al – minority decision in an appeal based on the assessment of damages to pay full and fair compensation to the Claimant for the compulsory acquisition of land.

    • Claim No 743 of 2023 Abner Murillo et al v Firearms and Ammunition Control Board et al

      • Application for leave to apply for judicial review of the decision of the Firearms and Ammunition Control Board (FACB).

      • Procedural application – decision on the procedural issue of whether it is necessary for a Respondent in an Application for permission to apply for judicial review, to file a notice of opposition pursuant to Part 11.12 of the Senior Courts (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025 (2025 Rules).
